Others’ mistakes
Do you remember me telling about Michael and his problems with a visa? He made his visa at some Moscow firma and had to register his visa in Moscow but never did it. He had a direct flight to Kazan. Of course he had problems because no hotel was willing to have problems with police. We helped him and warned that he should register his visa in the city of his destination. If you are planning your trip to Kazan then make your invitation for a visa to Kazan!
It’s funny but we have three guests now with the same problem. They have found some Moscow companies that promised them cheaper visas. Now in Kazan they have problems with the customs Service and, besides, have to pay a 60$ penalty for out-of-dated registration!!!
Don’t waste your money! Remember: getting a visa is not the end of the whole thing in Russia. You have to register it within three days and the place of registration is, as a rule, the hotel that made your invitation. If this hotel is in Moscow you must fly to Moscow, register your visa and then go wherever you like.
But the easiest way is making an invitation in the city of your destination.
Don’t repeat others’ mistakes! You will at least pay extra money or to the worst, you’ll be departed back to your country by our police.
Now goes more pleasant news:)
Natasha+Ray
We tell those who followed the story of Natasha and Ray (together with BBC:): Natasha is already in the USA! In the evening 31st December she flied to New York and her fiancée arranged a New Year party for her! Very romantic! Natasha called us and said that a lot of strangers came up to her and congratulated. They know now that such marriages are real and successful!
We are happy for our former clients and looking forward to hearing some news about their wedding:).
BBC again
Last week BBC radio called us. This corporation is so big that they didn’t even suspect that their TV colleagues have already made a movie about us!
It is very pleasant to realize that various mass media companies find our agency serious and respectable enough to ask for our opinion.
This time the issue for discussion was the innovation of American authorities. Did you hear about it? Now people who are getting visas are gonna give their fingerprints. The journalists wondered how it is going to influence those that are going to marry.
No reason for panic. Just another paper procedure. It is not going to prolong the time of processing documents or the income of your relationships.
Holidays go on!
We are still celebrating holidays in Russia. Xmas has passed (the 7th January) and we are celebrating the old New Year (the 13th January)! In my previous newsletters I told you about the meaning of this phrase: “New Year according to the old calendar”. The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates all the holidays according to the old Julian calendar. It is about two weeks late in comparison to the Gregorian calendar. So, we have got two New Years in Russia :)
So, we are having a Yuletide week now. All single girls may tell fortunes concerning their future fiancée:). You may ask your girl if she saw YOU in her telling fortune :-))) It is really possible because the higher spirits helps us in our work! Just hush! It’s a top-secret… :)
Another confirmation of this fact:
The hottest news!!!
I’ve just got a letter from our former clients Saburo & Masha, informing us that they are gonna have a baby: «Masha and I are having a baby boy, Ignatiy, sometime in the middle of March». It is the first news about a baby from our clients. Usually women need time to adapt to a new country. But Masha is young and know English ell (she was teaching it at school here in Russia). We are happy!!!
